Fin de saison

The final concert of the season always features some variation on Jean Santandrea's faithful group of musicians. This evening it was Bruno Perren on vocals and guitar, and Jean-Jacques Fauré on keyboard (see extras). They have been performing here for over 20 years now.

It was a slightly breezy evening but not cool enough to be uncomfortable. A familiar programme of chanson française -- not my favourite repertoire, but Bruno has a beautiful voice and has also got more and more adept at stagecraft. So it was a really good show, going on till midnight as usual. As ever the amphitheatre was packed for this, and we were pleased to see a number of people we weren't expecting.

It seems like no time at all since the beginning of the season ... it's whizzed by in no time. And slightly frustratingly in my case as I haven't been able to do all the things I would normally do.  Still, I was out and about again today. Market in the morning, and to the restaurant for tapas before the show.
