KESR Members Special at Bodiam

A quite wonderful evening on the Kent and East Sussex Railway on the 2019 Members Special from Tenterden to Bodiam and back. Plenty of beer and other alcoholic beverages in the buffet car and a hog roast at Bodiam.

We listened to the Invicta Jazz Band in the gathering dusk before departing back to Tenterden at 9.20pm. This shot, of the good old Pannier, 1638, was taken just before departure. A glorious steely blue sky sets off the loco which is also lit by the station lights. The extra is of our coach which has featured in my blips recently.

My youngest son's birthday today, turned 35, yikes! FaceTimed him late this evening. He was over 6000 feet up on top of a ridge in Utah near Park City. Isn't the technology marvellous?
