Great Dixter

Having received her birthday painting of Great Dixter yesterday Susan decided she's like to visit today. We pottered all morning doing stuff sp set off for the afternoon the garden.

Warm and sunny and quite quiet too, I expect it'll be busier over the next few days. Everything had grown so much since our visit here for Susan's birthday in May, very verdent although a little past it's best.

I've included some extras; a similar view to the painting and others that caught my eye as we strolled through the gardens. After enjoying the relative peace of the place (relative as someone was having helicopter lessons and kept circling the place) we went for a walk through the magnificent East Sussex countryside. We could even hear the whistle and chuffing of a train on the KESR as it departed from Northiam
