Mote Park

Susan’s birthday present arrive today, over 3 months after the day. She wanted a picture by local artist, Andrew Redden http://www.andrewredden.co.uk/my-places/ whose work is used as part of an advertising campaign for the Kent and East Sussex Railway. It took so long as Susan couldn’t decide what mount to have, then we were away and he was away and so on. Andrew delivered it himself so it was good to meet the artist. It’s here now and it looks good - a painting of one of Susan’s favourite gardens: Great Dixter. http://www.andrewredden.co.uk/my-places/great-dixter/

In other news, the arrival of the painting gave us enough time to trot out for a walk through Mote Park before lunch and before Susan took her mum to the Drs and a little trip out and before I continued with the everlasting painting of fence panels. Eight down, two to go. Eight have been slotted in, the last two will be more challenging as the neighbours have a shed and some rather large shrubs in the way. That’s for another day.
