The fisherman

We made an early start in order to get a walk in before I spent the day on the book. In fact, we nearly didn't go to the Pentlands, because the haar was low, and apparently thick over the city. We definitely couldn't see the hills from the balcony. In the end, we decided to give it a go. Misty shots, etc. That would be fun.

As we drove up the hill out of Currie on the last leg of the short journey (very short at that time of the morning on a Sunday), we realised that we were rapidly rising above the clouds. So apart from a bit of mist visible here and here, we mainly enjoyed beautiful sunshine, and regretted not bringing our sunglasses. So, overall, it was a lovely day to do the extended Harlaw potter (and I've put a bunch of new photos in my Pentlands Walks album on flickr), it wasn't quite what we expected.

I've been back on book duty for the rest of the day. Chapter 5 is substantively finished, but I'm just puzzling over a final summary section which is supposed to provide the overall conclusion to Part Two. And then it's on to Part Three!
