Harvest Time

Another brilliant sunny day, very much like summer and time for open top touring cars and combine harvesters.

My collage doesn't manage a combine, though one must have passed recently judging by all the bales in the field. I did manage to photograph the open top tourer. This time the badge on the grill proclaims this to be an Austin, and I would imagine it to date from around 1935. All the gear in the back of the car suggests road side repairs may not be an infrequent event.

The speedometer, which is tiny, goes up to 80mph which I think is unlikely, and the mileometer (odometer) says the car has done a little less that 3,500 miles. It only has 5 digits so it has presumably been around many times.

All this while making a visit to Craigievar Castle.
