Troyes to Pontarlier about 200 miles

After a very restless night the day dawned beautifully (top left) and we hit the road early to avoid the worst of the heat...taking the scenic route and avoiding the motorways. A picnic lunch was had at Villegusien-Le-Lac (bottom right) before we headed through a gorge at Lizine (top right) where we picked up a passenger (bottom middle)!

We found on arrival even the hotel had adopted our colour scheme! Everything (and everybody) are tucked up in bed now (bottom left). Crossing into Switzerland tomorrow for two nights in Interlaken before we really head into the Alps.
