Pontarlier to Interlaken 115 miles

After a reasonably good nights sleep I woke to the threat of a full blown hemiplegic migraine...luckily I managed to fend it off though I was quite queasy for the rest of the morning...then the altitude sickness kicked in!!!

A lovely drive saw us into Switzerland by 9am, around Lake Neuchatel, stopping by the side of Lake Murten for a break. Then we headed up the Gurnigel Pass (1608m high), stopping for lunch at the top. After lunch we managed to all lose each other but met up again on the side of Lake Thun before heading to our hotel in Interlaken. The scenery has been beautiful and the roads were pretty good for driving...and the weather perfect.

After a meal out we walked around town...another early night as we’ve a day off tomorrow to play at being tourists.
