Ramblings and Mutterings

Gift of Life

I ventured back to Cardiff today to see my friend Ann, who had a kidney transplant last week.  She is doing well, and the doctors are happy with progress.  We talked for all 2 hours of visiting time, the time just flew by.  If anyone deserves happiness it's Ann.  I'm chuffed to bits for her :)

Getting the gift of life again, and it really is the most special gift in life, is an incredible and emotional experience.  Organ Donation is a big decision for anyone to make, whether that be living or after you die.  The whole of the UK now seems to be moving towards the Opt Out method, which can only be a good thing.  But don't think that's the end, make sure your loved ones are aware of your decision and your wishes, because they could potentially overturn it..  The difference you will be making to someone is not just life changing, it's life giving.

Great to see some of the team that looked after me in February as well.
