Lozarhythm Of The Day:
First Crew To The Moon - The Sun Lights Up The Shadows Of Your Mind (1967)
I missed a trick not choosing this on the anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. As I've been re-visiting and discarding old copies of music magazines such as Uncut and Mojo I have also been replaying the CDs from the cover, in this case Mojo Presents...I Can See For Miles (Lost Tracks From America's Psychedelic Underground) from the April 2009 issue. It opens with this largely forgotten band on the Roulette label, with the band's name mis-spelled as First Crow To The Moon (both good names). It was their only single but their guitarist Chris Stein was to find fame, fortune and glamorous girlfriend in Blondie.
