Officially The ‘Cutest’ Town I Have Ever Visited

Budapest Day 5:
After a relaxing morning in the apartment, Sushi and I had booked an afternoon boat trip up the Danube to Szentendre. The 90 minute boat ride was beautiful and we admired the numerous and rather quirky riverbank dwellings that were really just oversized boathouses but were obviously the holiday homes of the well heeled Budapestian.

The town of Szentendre is not very big, just a few streets, but being a bit of a magnet for artists and artisans, it was delightfully colourful and a little bit bonkers. We loved all the artists shops and galleries, the buildings were all different colours and why have streetlights when you can have fully functioning lamps complete with lampshades hanging across the streets. All too quickly our boat came to take us back to Budapest but in my mind Szentendre is officially the ‘cutest’ town I have ever visited.
