thinking pink..

.. at the Sydney Cricket Ground where the third day of the New Year's test is dedicated to the memory of Jane McGrath (wife of one of Australia's premier bowlers) who succumbed to breast cancer some years ago.
The day supports the McGrath foundation focusing on those who live with the cancer and promoting knowledge and early diagnosis and intervention.

The wickets are pink, ground signage is pink, ground staff and commentators wear pink and spectators are encouraged to wear pink. Pink bubbles are served in the hospitality tents and the Aussie team photo features the lads wearing a 'baggy' pink cap (as opposed to the usual 'baggy green').

A great idea and now a 'pink' tradition.
