A walk between the showers

It doesn't seem possible that it is September already! Where has the year gone?

This afternoon we braved the chilly wind & with macs in hand headed out for a walk. We went to Westgate ..... this time to the area called Jenny's Wood

We saw this dragonfly ..... a Darter I think ..... as we arrived ...... then later during our walk we saw this Common Blue butterfly ...... it actually had its wings open for a short while (bottom left) .... then closed them (bottom right) ...... couldn't decide between the two shots so included both ...... hope you like them :-)

Thankfully we made it home shortly before it started to rain!
