Sunbathing Turnstones

A lovely sunny day today with big fluffy clouds. A day for housework and other jobs though, although I did get out to Sheringham for some shopping and to stretch my legs with a walk down to the seafront to take a few photos. The change in the make up of visitors was very noticeable, last week it was young families with children and this week it's retired people enjoying the sunshine. These Turnstones were also enjoying sunbathing on the sea defences.

G, H and I are off to the first session of our new photography group project tonight - the theme being 'The Magic of Light'. Our last AV on 'Coast' was very well received at our annual exhibition. I'm hoping to catch Johanna Konta's match against Svitolina at the US Open tonight first though - good luck Jo.

I was intrigued by the documentary on 5 yesterday with Paxman 'Why are our politicians so c***'. with a live debate afterwards. Our respect for politicians is clearly at the lowest it's ever been and as well as seeing them as untrustworthy, the polling shows we now see them as incompetent as well. Of course, being a politician must be more difficult and dangerous now than it's ever been too. Roll on a General Election as this situation is completely untenable and hopefully a review of our political system too!
