Walking group

Saturday 7th September 2019

We chanced a walk I hadn't done before but it was on good paths around Croxteth Country Park. When I plotted it on the computer it said 5.2 miles and included a circular walk in some woods across the road from the park. Despite that circular path being on the ordinance survey map and on the map we picked up at the park, we found no evidence of a circular route so it became just a linear extra. The rest of the walk went well.

Once we returned to the car I was able to tell them they had achieved 6 miles. It was quite funny as they had set off saying that 5 was ok but some struggled when the walks got extended to 6. They didn't struggle much today, but they were all nice easy paths, not across fields. Perhaps that extra in the woods wasn't needed though.

We enjoyed a pub lunch afterwards and it was great company, as always,

We've done well with the weather on our walks this year and haven't got wet! We will lose our reputation!

I have backblipped the last two days.
