Happy Goddaughter

Preparing for our Goddaughter's wedding, and celebrating the various stages of said wedding, is turning out to be a full-time pastime. It's very enjoyable, also very full-on. So I apologise for the complete lack of comments on your blips, and that I am steadily dropping behind with my blips.
In the picture you see the bride to be, her sister, mum, and brother. The afternoon had been a hen party and in the early evening the rest of us arrived and we enjoyed wine-tasting and a delicious tasting menu at this Michelin starred (just 1) restaurant. It was a lot of fun and the food really was delicious and beautifully presented.
The mum is a contemporary of ours who we worked with many years ago and we have seen her three children grow up from birth to their current adulthood. We have been part of her sister's wedding, then the brother's, and now the last "child" is tying the knot.  Perhaps the best way to describe our relationship is that they are part of our chosen family, the family some people build when they live away from all the blood relations.
And now it's going up to midnight so I have to abandon you all and head up to bed. Tomorrow is the big day!
