A stopover by a dragonfly

I watered the plants on the lower patio and was delighted to spot several dragonflies skitting about at high speed. I put my shirt on the back of a garden seat and was surprised when this Common Darter flew down for a rest. We aren't near standing water although there is a stream about forty yards away at the bottom of the steep slope behind the garden. Perhaps that is where they visit from.
