Water-Poppy

We have a marvelous nursery here in the Portland, Oregon area called Hughes Water Gardens (Hugheswatergardens.com). Spent a few hours there  absolutely reveling in the gorgeous water lilies. Of course I was drawn to this Hydrocleys nymphoides - Water-Poppy primarily because it had a bug/bee on it. iNaturalist, my go to app for identifying garden creatures, says it's a Common Drone Fly - Eristalis tenax.  It makes for a lovely photo anyway. I did use my iPhone to take this blip so not as fine a quality. However, I did discover that reverting to my phone gives me a lot of freedom that I don't quite have with my Canon. Fun times!
