Kereru - New Zealand Wood Pigeon

Taken this morning at Furneau Lodge in the Queen Charlotte Sounds, Picton. The Mistress and I have been on a boat trip for the last two days, totally out of range of any cellphone coverage so no blipping. Make sure you check out the back blips of the last two days!!!

Beautiful Scenery, native birds, blue skies, sun, fantastic company, it's been a great two days. This huge Wood Pigeon landed in the tree while the mistress was drinking her flat white. She got up and took several dozen shots of this bird that was eating the leaves of the tree. Was quite close and didn't try and fly away.
