London Day 4

We walked across Hyde Park this morning and came out by the Albert Memorial which sits just across the road from the Royal Albert Hall.  It has been a long time since I've been there, the last when Colin, Roz and I went to see Gary Moore, guest appearance George Harrison.

We took a walk round the perimeter and found the Cafe Bar open so went in for a cuppa.

Whilst there we decided to take a tour so bought a couple of tickets for this afternoon.

From there we went to the museum area on Exhibition Road, the Science, Natural History, and the Victoria and Albert Museum which we visited.  By now it was getting near lunchtime so we sought out the restaurant and had a lovely fish salad lunch in their amazing Victorian dining room, see extra.

With a little time yet we took a wander around one or two of the galleries, the museum as a whole could take days to explore thoroughly, and then headed back to the Albert Hall.

We had a very informative tour which included going into the auditorium and sitting briefly listening to the orchestra rehearsing for tonight's prom concert.

The main picture is the view of the Albert Memorial looking out towards the Royal Albert Hall.
