Ralph

Ralph
1923-1998

Bowtied boy, gentle man
how we wish you were here.
Fixer of anything
moving parts, broken hearts
such was your skill.
A magician with animals
and wizard with wood
Ellen's prince charming
gentle Ralph, lovely dad
you are remembered so
with loving fondness today.

Today would have been my bowtied dad's 90th Birthday. WWII veteran of the CBI Theatre in India a man with multi-talented hands. He was a loving father and jaunty owner of many flashy convertibles during my childhood . Steadfast husband, wonderful father-in-law and devoted grandfather , he is so missed these nearly fifteen years xxxx.

Many of these photos were originally taken with that old Ansco. It has a flash attachment that took big bulbs that made a smokey blue flash when triggered. I remember the smell and the smoke mixed with that of his pipe.

For the Record,
This day came in with a dusting of snow and warmer temperatures on the way for a change.
