Wound up in Wexford

A pink rose

I've blipped this rose before - at the time it was valiantly flowering despite our neglect.

We repotted it this spring, and this year it has flowered abundantly.

We've had another rather mundane day.  Neither of us seem to have much "get up and go" at the moment, but I managed to fold and iron the clean washing, before popping out for some shopping.  W has made a new hedgehog feeding station.  It has to be enclosed to keep out the neighbourhood cats - but at the same time, we want to be able to see into it - so he had previously made one from a plastic box with an entrance cut in one side.  The disadvantage of plastic is that when out in the sun and the rain, it becomes opaque, and also hardens and eventually breaks - which is what has happened to the one in the background here.

I'm afraid we've replaced it with another plastic box - not good for our attempt to cut down on our plastic consumption, but good for hedgehog viewing on the trail camera.
