Good news........

Last month Molly was diagnosed with Glaucoma in her left eye.   Glaucoma is the increase of fluid in the eye ball.  It causes redness and pressure, leading to  great pain.  The eye also begins to look like it is bugging out of her socket.  The eye pressure is measured with a puff of air being blown at the eye in very close proximity.  Her pressures last month were 26, 20 ,24.
Yesterday she was recheck by the vet.  She has responded to the eye drop (1 drop, every 12 hours)  very, very well!!!!!!   Her pressures were 19, 15, and 19.   Anything below 20 is considered normal.  These results mean we can manage the disease (which is not curable) and she is out of pain.  I will not have to have her eye removed.
That was the best news I could have gotten.  Since she is 8 years old, and Boston's usually live to 16, she will have a good long, happy, tpain-free rest of her life!
