Autumn is in the Air!

It was decidedly chilly earlier today...I was on the brink of asking hubby to light the log burner when the sun put in an appearance and we had a glorious afternoon.

I took a wander around the garden where there were still several butterflies fluttering...managed to catch the painted lady, speckled wood and the red admiral before they flew off. The broom seed pods were busy popping everywhere...here’s one which popped earlier and was derelict of seeds. The crows nest had fallen from the tree and was looking distinctly derelict and forlorn. The geese were practising their “V” formations with much glee and honking before they leave us again. The flowers (like giant crocuses) have appeared as if by magic...presumably disturbed or given room to grow earlier this summer when we cleared the bed whilst installing the gabions...I’ve no idea what they are though!

Lots of brambles ready to pick so I went round a second time with a jug, then made an apple and bramble crumble for pudding!

Thanks to Marlieske for hosting Derelict Sunday.

Many thanks for all the kind comments, stars and hearts which were sprinkled on yesterday’s 365th blip...this truly is a wonderful community :-)
