Vulture & Eagle

A Griffon Vulture  and (in the extra) a Booted Eagle,* both captured on today's outing to the Cuber Reservoir on Mallorca.  The other large raptor we saw was the black vulture, but it was less photogenic. (In fact, the griffon vulture was too high for an ideal shot but this one is OK.)  It was a long walk, and a long day, in the constant hot and humid weather.

* The booted eagle gets its name from the feathers around its legs, which can give the impression it's wearing boots.
