It's My Turn

This could be the last hurrah for the meadow. Asters are latecomers to the party and a welcome sight as the rest of the flowers are decaying slowly. When I approach the meadow now, a flutter of wings signals more birds feeding on the seeds and they are singing away in the trees above.

I like the contrast of the new flowers, still emerging, alongside those deteriorating. There is also purple against yellow and in focus versus the background. I think perhaps the top flower is too close to the edge of the frame. I suppose I tried to fill the image with my subject!
