The Round Church

We went to Cambridge today and not to Addenbrookes hospital, but just for a day out.

We started in John Lewis’s café where our order seemed to confuse the staff. We met our daughter and granddaughter in the café and eventually after quite a wait and sending one bacon sandwich back as they had included butter, bacon sandwiches and scones with jam and cream were consumed. They also needed to be reminded that that had not brought the cream for the scones to our table, as they had said they would. This was also a problem for another customer; not sure if they had new staff or just incompetent staff.

Then our daughter and granddaughter departed while we walked across to the Grafton Centre, where more refreshments were consumed. We followed this with a long walk, back via Jesus Green and had coffee in a small café before returning home.

Today’s picture is of The Round Church, without people in it. This church is often difficult to photograph without people so it is my choice today. The sky really was this blue.

The temperature at GMT noon was twenty-one degrees Celsius; it was very sunny all day and felt much warmer.
