"Paint-Off!"

Back-dated Blip 25:

Paint-Off is a brilliant concept, at least on a sunny July day.

Artists, from individual amateurs to pros and groups pay £5 per head, which includes all basic arts materials and a piece of canvas. They then have several hours to create their masterpiece, under the trees and sun umbrellas in the grounds of Salisbury Arts Centre. Once work has dried in the sunshine, it was all auctioned off for charity - local youth projects, of which the Hijack Day, a few days later, benefited.

I wasn't participating and wasn't taking the official pics, or anything but as I was also snapping officially the nearby 'ParkLife' that was running concurrently, my images did get seen as a useful record of the day.

This was with fisheye on 'wrong' camera, and this child obviously only wants to get painting. Love this type of candid, grabbed pics...I could see him coming and followed him and snapped right at the right moment.
