Flower Friday - Red Bottlebrush Flowers

Even though the island at the lake is still underwater this Red Bottlebrush tree has still managed to blossom madly as if nothing is awry! :o)

The ibis have nests everywhere in these trees and you can see bits of them here and there in this shot, looking at it in large possibly makes them easier to see. They strip the paperbark trees of everything they can to make their huge nests so the foliage is looking a bit thin and will regenerate after all the baby making is over ;o). I’ve put a lovely kangaroo paw flower in as an extra because it looked so beautiful in the morning light and because a little duck photo bombed the shot! ;o)

I have J staying over tonight as he has his next band concert tomorrow and we’ll be heading down there together. Much fun to be had by all ;o)

I’m so time poor at the moment that I havent been able to thank all of you lovely blippers for my special day wishes, Sunday will be the day!! :o)xxx

Thanks to Anni for Flower Friday xxxx
