Butterfly

Left work sharpish today as it's Friday, the sun is out, and I'm now off for over a week. Which is lovely. What's not lovely is that none of us have slept for over a week as everyone has the cold, with youngest having a stonking cold as well as an ear infection. We are all feeling a bit delicate and exhausted. But don't worry. A really relaxing, restful holiday at Center Parcs awaits us. I am looking forward to it but really dreaming of a week in the Maldives or some other tropical sunny place. With wine. And champagne. And peace and quiet. And sleep. But alas, a fun filled rainy cold family activity holiday awaits haha. There will be wine.  

I do laugh a bit but genuinely feeling awful for even having any hint of a moan, when some friends are going through everyone's worst nightmare. Gotta take these colds and sleepless nights with a lot of thankfulness that these things pass. Some other things do not.
