A long but wonderful day

September 20 was not only the climate strike but also Seth's birthday, so I'm fudging a bit because it certainly felt like two days. I came home from the activities, took a power nap, got excellent news from the latest round of medical tests (no clots anywhere) and went out to dinner with these three (Cristina is away at work). Seth, Bella, and Evan all had stories to tell, and the night lasted so long that everyone was ready to fall asleep by the time we got to a bench under a street lamp where I could make a photo.

Seth is forty-six, loves his work in the entertainment business and grows artistically in it all the time; has a partner in Cristina who shares the excitement and challenge of that business with him; and between them they have created a richly satisfying life with two imaginative, lively, loving children who like nothing better than a cuddle with whichever parent is in town at the time. Both parents have fascinating, unusual stories to tell about their time on the road, but they have enough time at home to make stories as a family. I couldn't wish more for them.
