If you can't beat them...

View from a café window.

Recently Clickychick visited the garden of a lady who grows flowers and has business making garlands posies etc.  During the visit she appealed for glass jars as she needed them as containers and of course they rarely cam,e back.  We happened to have a lot of jars from my bee keeping days.  I had been loathed to recycle them, however the law does not allow a honey jar to be reused for honey.  So reuse seemed ideal.

In the afternoon we took them out to the Appleby area delivering them just as the lady was down to her last jar.  The traffic on the A66 was nose to tail and very slow moving.  So we cut across the A66 and headed on minor roads to "Melki" (sorry Melkinthorpe) and the wonderful Larch Cottage nurseries.  We did wander round and look at the gardens and plants but I suspect the real reason for being there was coffee.

The blip is the shot through one of the café windows looking out at the pond and bridge.  The changing colour of the foliage was what caught my eye.
