Nicky and her Nikon

Growing steadily

Little miss is 16 weeks old today and has finally doubled her weight at which she came home. She is now 12 kg and growing steadily. We don't know how large she will be as Vizslas vary in size quite a bit, but she comes from a Hungarian line that is slightly larger than the American line so we think she will be quite tall. She will not be that heavy though as they are quite a skinny breed, it's normal for their ribs to show even when they are in top condition and well fed.

We had a walk in the woods this morning, dodging the rain and it was actually quite bright and pleasant. Then off to the post office depot to collect a missed delivery before going on to training. I really like this trainer, she gives such sensible advice. Many years ago when I took Murdoch to her for training she told us to walk our dogs from our homes so that if they ever get lost they will be able to find their way home, which is exactly what happened to Murdoch one day and luckily he managed to find his way home again.

After training I went to the vet to collect her pet passport and so she is now able to travel to Europe with no restrictions. That is until Brexit is finalised as it will all change then, we will then be required to have a blood test three months before we travel to prove the required level of anti-rabies vaccine in her blood stream.

Why did I mention Brexit? We are all so tired of Brexit, I just want them to crack on and finish the negotiations so we can move on. If Bojo resigns we will be back at square one with the negotiations which will not be good. And don't start me on the meaningless statements made by Meghan Markle in South Africa while on tour, claiming to be a sister of impoverished black women...as if. At least we finally got to see photos of the adorable baby Archie, just a pity he was not shown to the British nation first.
