Focus

This evening The Spitfire Documentary aired on BBC4 and I lost myself for 90 minutes to the story of this pioneering aircraft. When thinking about flying everything else blurs in my brain just as the camera focus demonstrates in my Blip photo.

It was wonderful to see interviews with the late Joy Lofthouse ATA pilot who I was fortunate enough to meet at a fly2help charity dinner a few years ago. Geoffrey Wellum spoke with such passion and clarity that I felt as if I were up in the skies flying in a Spitfire with him. Just as I did when reading his book First Light. I urge you to read it immediately.
