Medal

I battered up and down the Commonwealth Pool 40 times this morning, front and back. It felt like hard work.

Home to do some tidying and printing before E came round.

The next part of the day was 'helping' mum pack before her next holiday. There was mail: a replacement card for me and a medal for mum. She served from 1943-46 in the WRNS and this is her War Medal, 73 years on. It is very shiny.

Then it was off to the Filmhouse (I saw 3 people I know) to eat and then go to 'The Farewell', mainly in Mandarin with English subtitles. A new experience but it was so reminiscent of my Chinese family, I'm Nai Nai after all. Mum said she'd enjoyed it.

And tomorrow I don't have to get up to early.
