Decisions, decisions...

Backblipped

Final backblip.  When this is posted my journal will be back on track again.  Yay!  :-))

The main task of the day was to visit our local bathroom specialist to make final decisions on items for our ensuite refurb.  We are keeping the lovely freestanding bath and wash hand basin as the previous owners had excellent (and expensive) taste and we love them both, but changing the toilet, shower enclosure, shower, flooring, bathroom cabinet and updating the lighting.

Max, the company owner and fitter already knew the kind of things we are looking for so had helpfully arranged some samples and catalogue photographs, which made the job much easier.  What made it difficult however, was this little chap.  His name is Oreo and he's Max's dog and he's in the showroom.

He is so cute and I couldn't resist him.  He loves to be tickled under his chin and is very vocal when your attention is not on him 100%.  I gave him lots of tickles.  He is so small compared to Lola.  A little bundle of curly energy
:-))

Anyway, back to the ensuite.  We have chosen everything apart from the flooring and the wet wall for the shower but have come home with two samples of wet wall and one of flooring (we were determined not to get bogged down with loads of choices, so kept our search criteria fairly narrow.)  The flooring we are definitely going with and I think I know which of the wet wall samples we will choose too.  Final decision to be made tomorrow and we can let Max know.  Work is scheduled to begin Monday 18th October (or the 25th if his current job over runs.)

This is the final piece of the jigsaw (well our bedroom will be redecorated afterwards but that's fairly minor and straightforward) and was meant to be done at the tail end of our building work in 2017 but after a year of having builders in the house, I just couldn't face it.  Now I can't wait to get it  done.

Must remember to take a before photo.
