"The good lord giveth and the good lord taketh away"

Today I found out that there in no hope for my uncle and that their family decided to keep him comfortable at home. He hasn't had any food or water for over two days. Right now all three of his sisters are with him saying their goodbye's....

When I went to see my dad today he was so worried that he was late for school and he just knew his mom wasn't going to be happy about that. It took a good solid two hours to calm him down.. He cried a bit saying his pain no longer goes away. He wants to go so there isn't anymore pain. We are not sure what to do as he has "timed out" on hospice care and that there is only so much the doctors can do. He asked me to sing Blowing in the wind with him which I did of course. The look my dad gave me when I left - I wish I could put out of my mind.. Scared, tired, alone, cold, tired, no hope, and....

I am grateful for Saturday for a little bit of happiness at this sad family time. As we all know a time like this will eventually come.. We just hope it never does...
