Pittenweem to Earlsferry and back ;-)

Wonderful days' walking - weather conditions were just perfect, with blue sky and sunshine throughout the whole route ...

... an early start in Pittenweem, then out along the Fife Coastal Path to St. Monans, and further to beyond Earlsferry, having passed through Elie on the way. Many of the beaches on-route, were blissfully quiet - see main snap :-)

Our group had planned to do the Elie Chain Walk, before returning along the coast to Pittenweem, but tides (see 1st extra!) dictated that discretion was the better part of valour. Upside was that we had some extra time to stop at the Ship Inn, in Elie, on our way back :-))

Having stayed in the Ship Inn slightly longer than we probably should have, meant the sun was [gloriously] setting as we eventually returned to Pittenweem (see 2nd extra!) ...

... and to end a perfect day, the local fish and chip shop was open ... thus; an al fresco dinner, by the harbour, was enjoyed by all; before returning to the Capital.
