Thirsty work

Sometimes digging a hole for a plant isn't easy at my place. This rock was a brute to remove and it took a fair amount of effort.

I've scrubbed it clean and given its size and the time, and sweat involved prising it out, maybe it deserves a place on the surface of my garden. For now I've left it on my seat.

For the eagle eyed New Zealanders among you, yes, that is a famous give away glass from Mobil many years ago.

The plant in the background is leptospermum choral candy, an Australian form of what we know as manuka.

Today's gratitude: For the wonder of plants. They really are miracles.
