First of the season

Time spent watering and weeding at the front this evening, was rewarded with seeing my first C-17 Globemaster returning from Antarctica this season.

They're powerful planes with a deep distinctive sound that domestic aeroplanes don't have. Yes, it was as cold out there as it looks.
