Autumn leaves scatter the pavements. Red berries decorate the trees. Yet a dampness fills the air instead of the crisp bite synonymous with this time of year. Donned a hat for the first time this season, which as always was the catalyst for a conversation starter in the village cafe.
Finally started on my upcycling this afternoon. Sanded down a chest of drawers and sugar soaped it ready for the first coat of paint.
Watched episode 3 of World on Fire on BBC1 tonight and enjoyed seeing HMS Cavalier [based at Chatham Dockyard] play the role of HMS Exeter in the Battle of River Plate.
Almost a month freezing on film liaison officer duties from mid January to mid February for the production but the results on screen made it all worthwhile.
