Harbour Office

Crail harbour is so picturesque it must be one of the most photographed scenes in Scotland. However, when we wandered down there this morning the tide was a long way out so it wasn't looking its best. I'm blipping the Harbour Office door instead. It is lovely in its own way. And in an extra I'm adding the view towards the harbour from the east. The harbour itself hidden behind the houses but you can see what a pretty place it is.

Up early (ridiculously early in my case) to pack up the holiday house. We were out not long after 10:00. We all walked down to the shore and had a potter about in rock pools and on the sand. Then back for coffee in a cafe just past the buildings in the extra. Unbelievably warm and we sat outside overlooking the Firth and the Isle of May. The water was sparkling and we watched a paddle boarder moving westwards on the sea.

Then it was time to say our farewells and come home. My sister and BiL have the longest journey and will still be at Edinburgh airport as I sit at home blipping, doing the washing and generally tidying up ready for more family visitors tomorrow.

What a super weekend we've had. The weather has been so kind to us and the holiday house was huge; perfect for 14 beings. The East Neuk is ideal for a multi-generation group. It's been great!
