Community before quarry

Community before quarry is the sign on the door of his old house. It's in the Weddons area between Rolleston and Templeton.

The proposed quarry expansion will impact on residents across Weddons, Templeton, and towards West Melton. I have a colleague at work who's helped fundraise so residents could employ several experts to help them build their case.

He's helped write the report too and it was submitted to the Environment Court this week. They're up against big money and it's hard to know how they'll get on. My colleague is philosophical, they've given it their best shot.
