Wind/Gas?

19 days old
I think it depends which side of the Atlantic you are on!  We were doing very well up to lunchtime today.  Mum and Dad had a better night and caught up on some sleep.  Grandad Tony set off to North Station after breakfast, to catch the train to Salem to further sand and possibly paint the stair risers if the bathroom guys weren't up and down the staircase.  Euan had Daddy cuddles whilst everyone got their breakfast, then after another feed he was in to the Stroller and we headed for the shopping mall (sorry plaza!) on a roundabout route to take in the air and the sunshine.  It was recycling today so Becky picked up several more Stroller skills negotiating bins and recycling and oversized kerbs.  I did several rounds of the Plaza with Euan whilst she popped in to get some shopping.  We called in at Starbucks for mid morning goodies before turning our wheels back up and over the hill to the apartment.  Euan was safely transported from stroller to napper and continued to sleep so I went out for my run.

Then it seems it was time for the grizzly period.  Apparently newborns take a week or so to work out what to do with wind/gas, hence the bright red face, squirming and discomfort.  Better to cope with this testing time in daylight hours than at night though.

My blip is from this morning.  Dr G the pediatrician said we were likely to see baby acne in these next couple of weeks and sure enough we have one spotty baby!  Forever changing!
