A Soaker of a Day!

It's pouring here currently. We actually had a break in the rain midday and I drove over to Vancouver to see my parents. I usually visit them on Thursdays, and today I wanted to bid farewell for a couple of weeks...the Portugal trip is finally here. We (my sister and I) leave tomorrow morning.

So the last blips from Portland for a while. I hope that I can find something worthy to snap a blip of tomorrow while traveling - it will be with my iPhone, although I've got my camera packed in my carry on backpack I probably won't get it out in the airport ;-)

Today's blip is of probably one of the final dahlias in my garden...sort of a moody photo, mostly because I was playing with the manual setting on my phone and forgot to change the setting! 

The extras are of a dahlia bud looking rather weepy, and a kind of fun photo of the raindrops on a spider web in a patch of lily-of-the-valley and a Weeping Blue Cedar....also kind of fun. No critters in site in the garden this afternoon.
