New blinds

A full-on day of DIY today. We took down our old Venetian blinds in the living and dining room (all six of them), filled the holes in the wall, sanded and painted and fitted our new vertical blinds. I popped down to Sainsbury's late afternoon while Tim was painting, but in all we were on the go from 10am to gone 6pm. Knackered dot com!

Our new neighbour's son came up to introduce himself this afternoon; he seems lovely too. He lives nearby and is helping her get settled in, so I expect we'll see a fair bit of him.

I cooked us a veggie rendang curry for dinner and we had a very relaxed evening after that, occasionally admiring our handiwork :)
