Lake Kelso

Main photo:  A perfectly gorgeous warm day called us out along country roads past farms and wide open spaces.  Our unplanned adventure took us to Burton Wetlands State Park for the first time.  On foot we followed the short Glacier Trail through the woods to Kelso Lake.  No one else was there. We'll definitely revisit this area in the Spring when waterfowl and birds migrate.  It's said to have a huge number of dragonflies.  I captured a red one today but the image was not clear enough to post.

Extra: Next time we'll also take the longer trail through a field and woods past Beaver Pond, captured here from the road.

Wishing you all a good beginning to the new week.  Thanks for your visits and kind comments. :)
