Okehampton Castle

I went up to North Devon to visit my brother today. On the way I stopped off at Okehampton and took a few quick shots of the castle.  It's a medieval motte and bailey castle built between 1068 and 1086 following a revolt in Devon against Norman rule. It's been a day of changing light. There was some lovely light with dark stormy clouds as I left home. The light was definitely lacking while I was at Okehampton though. I think it's probably worth revisiting at another time.

Apart from poor light it seems much chillier today. Photo Club tonight!
