Dunbeg

A long drive up to Oban, starting off in fine, warm weather, but with rain through much of Scotland. We arrived at Dunbeg in the late afternoon, and although it was overcast the rain had more or less stopped, so we took advantage of a rather soggy walk round the peninsula.

Beautiful views  across to Eilean Mor and Benderloch, and the excitement of briefly seeing an otter swim across the bay. But the best part of the walk for me was seeing huge quantities of Tree Lungwort Lobaria pulmonaria as well as the somewhat rarer Lobaria virens - both characteristic of temperate rainforest.
