Old knowledge

From a lecture at Stockholm Senior Citizen’s University.  From a book used in Swedish schools.  Not 1982 – that’s a typo – but in 1882.  The drawing suggests two different paths to choose between for a young kid.  School or the street.  The final phase is to be either an honoured senior or a despised beggar.
